The Cincinnati Tennis Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to using tennis and education as a vehicle to positively impact lives. With the cost to develop a player from 5 to 18 estimated at $385,000*, the scholarship program started awarding many players with financial aid, and the Foundation was born. Through its many programs, the Cincinnati Tennis Foundation welcomes and develops players of all ages.
Since 2015, we have offered opportunities to thousands of students and players across parks, schools, youth centers, and clubs across Cincinnati and its urban core. Our programming includes tennis, education, and character building instruction. We work hard to make tennis accessible for everyone, including a focus on wheelchair and adaptive programs. In addition, through our NJTL Performance Program we have helped kids receive over $5 million in athletic and academic scholarships at top universities.
We are so excited to continue our passion and purpose at our new home, The Cincinnati Tennis and Education Center, with the gracious support of Cincinnati Public Schools and the Withrow High School community. Our dream is to create a year round positive community hub, complete with education, nourishment, mentoring and tennis. Our organization is committed to creating access to educational opportunities for under-resourced youth and supporting character building opportunities through sports based youth development programs.
"My motto is: I’m alive, so that means I can do anything."
Using tennis and education as a vehicle to positively impact lives. Create a growth mindset and build character through sports and education.
We strive to make tennis and education available to all players year round, removing all barriers to access. We want to offer a positive, community hub to learn, grow, and thrive through the sport of tennis.
