"Tennis uses the language of life. Advantage, service, fault, break, love, the basic elements of tennis are those of everyday existence, because every match is a life in miniature." ― Andre Agassi
Go Play Tennis is the remote tennis introductory program of the Cincinnati Tennis Foundation. Our Team introduces tennis at schools, urban parks, and other community spaces. This year alone, we have delivered tennis at multiple schools in urban Cincinnati, at Ziegler Park and at the Central Parkway YMCA (also virtually). Our plan in 2021 is to bring tennis to kids all throughout the city and offer a continuation at the Cincinnati Tennis Academy at the new Cincinnati Tennis and Education Center on the Withrow Campus.
Play Tennis Cincinnati is a free, introductory tennis program founded and organized by the Cincinnati Tennis Foundation. Started in 2019, with the help of the Western and Southern Open, PTC has introduced over 400 kids grades K-6 to the sport of tennis. Kids receive a free racquet and red ball to continue playing, and after the 1 week camp, kids are invited to continue tennis at area facilities. These continuation programs are also offered at a low cost and scholarships are available. CTF engages over 40 teaching professionals to deliver this program. In 2021 this will be two 1 week camps (June and July).
Cincinnati Tennis Academy and Scholarship Program
With over 300 players ranging from beginner to National level, we have a very active junior tennis community. We believe strongly that costs should never be a limiting factor in enjoying the sport of tennis. We have income based pricing for summer programming and full scholarships available for year round programming. LEAP Program players are part of this program.
Fun at School Tennis (F.A.S.T)
F.A.S.T. Tennis has introduced almost 3000 kids to the sport of tennis since 2015. K-4 children can sign up to play at local clubs with school friends.
We provide equipment and a fun team-based format. Weekly character and tennis themes are included and all coaches are Net Generation Safe Play Certified. F.A.S.T. is provided at a very low cost and players who cannot afford are eligible to receive full scholarships.
Wheelchair tennis is one of the world’s most popular wheelchair sports, with a growing base of players in the U.S. The Cincinnati Tennis Foundation offers camps and lessons for beginners, as well as USTA sanctioned events for tournament players. Wheelchair tennis is a great way to stay active, healthy and fit, and best of all, it’s easy to learn and fun to play. The Cincinnati Tennis Foundation is proud to be part of this great community of players who bond over their love of the game, creating life long friendships.
Special thanks to special partners, including WealthWave that has helped to launch our Wheelchair Scholarship program offering equipment and travel stipends for players to provide even more opportunities to play.
